Hafele Introduces One Touch Mechanism

Operating cabinet doors when your hands are occupied or otherwise unclean can cause a little inconvenience. Whether it is to pull out that extra ladle while cooking with greasy hands or attempting to load heavy files into an overhead cabinet, carefully preventing injury. Advancements in product engineering and development have enabled increased ease and functionality via motion technologies that can be integrated into the hinges of the cabinet or into cabinet attachments installed in the panel so as to provide seamless efficiency. A slight push can swing open the cabinet door. Alternatively, a push can also close the door smoothly.

Hafele, after extensive research, now introduces – One Touch Mechanism, India’s first mechanism for cabinets that combines the push-to-open technology with soft-close into one single unit. Combining the two technologies not only eases the daily operations in your kitchen and other spaces but also elevates its overall design functionality.

Available in two variants, OT Heavy (used for shutter weights up to 20 kgs) and OT Light (used for shutter weights up to 7.5 kgs) with an elegant black coating on steel, the One Touch Mechanism exudes style and elegance. It comes with a robust build and is tested for 50,000 cycles. Due to its fully mechanical design format, the mechanism does not need to connect to any electric power thereby enhancing usability and flexibility.  

Having an opening angle of 110°, the shutters swing open completely with a gentle press and can be closed smoothly with just a simple push thus making it hands-free and convenient to operate. The mechanism’s uncomplicated assembly and disassembly enable any user to install it simply and can be used with all 3 types of unsprung hinge mounting applications: full overlay, half overlay and inset. It works best with Hafele’s Metalla 510 110° Unsprung Hinges.
