Salone del Mobile 2021 to be held as planned in September

The physical event will be held at Fiera Milano from September 5 through 10 for the 59th edition ‘led by innovation and uniqueness.’ According to a press release, the decision to proceed in September was arrived at unanimously following much internal debate and planning.

The note further defines the 2021 edition of Salone del Mobile as ‘unique, iconic and innovative,’ showcasing important work carried out by the furniture companies over the past 18 months through special thematic exhibitions. The announcement also hints at a new digital component to the fair for those unable to attend in person. “For those who are making the trip, safety ordinances regulating trade fairs will be observed.”

Gianfranco Marinelli, President, FLA Eventi said, “We are aware that the success of an event such as Salone del Mobile Milano will be confirmed by the fact that the citizens will understand and appreciate yet again the contribution that it can make to the country in terms of growth, image, and credibility. I am proud to be able to say that once again we will be making our own contribution.”

Last year, the mega event had to be cancelled due to the blazing pandemic in the country and all around the world. While the situation hasn’t much improved in many countries of the world, the organisers have gone ahead with their plan for the event.
